Taura Here Waka: Moving forward together as a company
The brief
Taura Here Waka was a project developed for WorkSafe internal staff. The website aimed to foster organizational unity by integrating Maori principles of unity. In this capacity, I was responsible for creating illustrations and animations that visually depicted these principles in a clear and comprehensible manner.
Storyboard
Prior to animation, meticulous planning was essential. I developed a comprehensive storyboard to outline all scenes, enabling the client to grasp the animation's pacing and sequence. This process also established a foundational structure to guide the animation process effectively.
Illustration stills
After finalizing the storyboard, I transitioned to illustrating each scene. Using Photoshop, I meticulously crafted the visuals before vectorizing them in Illustrator. Subsequently, I imported all assets into After Effects to assemble the scenes.
Final animation
I’m very pleased with the final outcome. This video effectively assisted WorkSafe in cultivating a collective purpose within their organization in a compelling and engaging manner.
